Bill Ayers
Bill Ayers has been a man on a mission since he was a boy growing up in a wealthy, privileged, communist-loving white family. From an early age, Bill knew he would rise to be one of the elite radicals in the US.
Bill proved his dedication to the cause by being one of the founding members of the Weather Underground. The Weather Underground was a self-described Communist revolutionary group with the intent to overthrow imperialism, that conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings [including police stations, the US Capitol Building, and the Pentagon] during the 1960s and 1970s. When later asked about his involvement in the bombings, Bill was quoted as saying “guilty as sin, free as a bird.”
Bill went on to become a teacher and ultimately retired as a professor from the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Education. He was also instrumental in helping launch the political career of Barack Obama, and ghostwriting Obama’s book “Dreams of My Father.’
